Sunday

We got out a little later than I would have liked this morning, but we did get out.  Stayed at the lower end of the park for our walk.  I tried to hit every pokestop and catch some new pokemon that just came out this weekend.

A lot of people out today, but that is what happens when you get a late start.   I did come across a few different birds today and was able to snap a couple of pictures.

After our hike we headed out for breakfast.   I ate to much, but boy it sure was good.   Had some biscuits and gravy and eggs.  At some of Candy's pancake.

Then we headed over to the shop as I needed to get a few gathered up for a trip that I may have to make this coming week.   We will see if it all comes together.  I did get my welder up and running today and did the repairs I needed on my yard art.

Time to get ready for Monday and the work week.   I will try t keep walking as much as I can.

Goose Egg

So let's see, today I logged a big Goose Egg.  I took the day off and ended up driving.  My excuse is that it was 22 this morning......  Just an excuse.

Both our fountains had heavy ice on them, luckily they didn't freeze up.   I will be draining them tomorrow so that we won't have to worry about freezing.

O'l Brooks the cat is really fitting in to the family.   I think we have turned him into one of the dogs.  He goes out when the dogs do, eat 's when they do and he is playing with Pebbles and she is playing back.  They chase each other and have been sharing toys.

The squirrels have been on DEFCON 4 as of late.  Brooks likes to get out early in the morning when the squirrels are active.  He tries to catch them, but they are just to fast.   Brooks has taken to climbing the trees and the fence.  I came out the other day and found him sitting up in the tree.  He also likes to walk all along the fence and monitor his territory.

Speaking of squirrels, I found out who had been eating on the pumpkins.  I noticed that over a few days that the rind was being eaten off.  Well this morning I actually caught the culprit in the act.  I had no idea the squirrels liked pumpkin rind, but I guess they do.

As you can see this squirrel has been pretty active working on this pumpkin.

In this pic, you can also see the dusting of snow that we got yesterday.

"Good-bye Max.  Good-bye Ma.
After the service when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air

You hear the tolling bell. And touch the silk in your lapel

And as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band

You take her frail hand. And hold on to the dream.

A place to stay. Enough to eat
Somewhere old heroes shuffle safely down the street
Where you can speak out loud. About your doubts and fears
And what's more no-one ever disappears

You never hear their standard issue kicking in your door.
You can relax on both sides of the tracks
And maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
And everyone has recourse to the law
And no-one kills the children anymore."

Pinball

Today was an awesome day.  It started out with a three mile hike with Candy and Donkey.  When we got home I figured it was time to feed the squirrels.  Well today I made a new friend and I have name him Pinball.  Pinball is a squirrel and I got him to let me feed him by hand.   I went out in the backyard and shook the peanut sack.  I spotted him looking at me, so I pulled out a peanut and cracked the shell in my hand.  I just hung tight for about five minutes and then Pinball came over and slowly took the peanut out of my hand.

We did this a couple of time, I tried to get a picture but feeding a squirrel and holding a camera is a little tough.  this is the first time I have been able to get one to eat from my hand.

I got a lot done today, from cleaning out the truck.  Syncing all my apple devices, planting some flowers, cleaning out the garage and even running over to the AT&T store.  It was a full day, that's for sure.

I cooked dinner this evening for Candy and I.  We had pork chops that I cooked in green chili.  Cooked up some tater tots and a bag of corn.  It was a great dinner.

Headed out on the road so I got packed and did a little laundry.  Really looking forwad to the 4th of July.  Will get to see my sister and her husband and kids.  Both Eric and Clark are going so it should be a good time.

That's all, got some more work to do before I head out.  Have a great evening and will catch up with you soon.
